Our Curriculum

We acknowledge and respect that every child who becomes part of the Warley Preschool family is unique. We believe that children learn best through play and when they are engaged and interested in what they are doing. Children learn from all their experiences and at Warley Preschool we follow the children’s interests and fascinations. Practitioners create open, calm and safe play spaces that will excite, challenge and engage all children to explore, learn and develop new skills at their own pace and in their own time, celebrating all their successes on the way.

At Warley Preschool we provide the support needed for our children to:

  • Become comfortable and confident in the preschool environment
  • Pursue happy, healthy, active lives
  • Become confident communicators
  • Become independent learners, to be curious, ‘have a go’ and take risks
  • Build positive relationships with their peers and the adults in the preschool
  • Have a positive sense of self
  • Explore the local community and the world around them
  • Celebrate their achievements
  • Prepare them for the next phase of their journey in life

Our curriculum is guided by ‘Development Matters’ Guidance (2021) and ‘Birth to Five Matters’ Guidance (2021)
